Beau A. Worthington

A native of Augusta, Georgia, Mr. Worthington moved to the Atlanta area in 2005.  In 2007 Mr. Worthington began his career in criminal law by interning at the Rockdale District Attorney’s Office under Richard R. Read, District Attorney.  While there he practiced under Georgia’s Third Year Practice Act beginning in the summer of 2007.

The experience would prove invaluable, as he prosecuted a variety of felony and misdemeanor cases.  In 2008 Mr. Worthington accepted a position at the Rockdale County District Attorney’s Office as an investigator primarily focusing on serious traffic cases involving DUIs, Serious Injury by Motor Vehicle, and Vehicular Homicide.

Mr. Worthington entered private practice in 2008 and is a founding partner of Coxen & Worthington, LLC.  His practice is devoted to criminal defense, family law, workmen’s compensation and social security disability.

Mr. Worthington regularly volunteers as an attorney adviser for the Eastside High School Mock Trial Team in Covington, Georgia.  Additionally he is a member of the Covington Kiwanis Club.

Stephen L. Coxen

A native of Fitzgerald, Georgia, Mr. Coxen moved to the Atlanta area in 2000 while attending law school at Georgia State University College of Law.  There, Mr. Coxen excelled academically and in extracurricular activities, graduating with honors, Cum Laude. While at Georgia State, Mr. Coxen was also a member of the award winning Student Trial Lawyers Association Mock Trial Team and interned at the Dekalb County Solicitor General’s Office, practicing under Georgia’s Third Year Practice Act, in the summer of 2002.

The experience would prove invaluable, as he began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in the Newton County District Attorney’s Office in Covington, Georgia. There, he gained valuable trial experience prosecuting thousands of felony and misdemeanor cases, ranging from traffic violations to murder cases.

Mr. Coxen entered private practice in 2006 and has concentrated his practice in the areas of criminal defense, family law, general civil litigation and personal injury law. He is a founding partner of Coxen & Worthington, LLC.

Mr. Coxen regularly volunteers as an attorney adviser for the Eastside High School Mock Trial Team in Covington, Georgia and as an advisor for his college fraternity.  Additionally, Mr. Coxen is a member of several civic organizations including the Covington Kiwanis Club and has served two terms as President Elect of the Newton County Bar Association.
